Jake Brainerd is a designer with a background spanning architecture, interior design, branding, and furniture design. Their work is grounded in a human-centered approach to creating thoughtful spaces, environments, and objects that respond to the needs of the people who use them.

With formal training in Architecture and Interior Architecture, Jake has worked across a range of scales and project types, from tailored interiors for individuals and businesses to brand environments and custom furniture. Their multidisciplinary experience brings together design, materiality, and a strong understanding of how people experience and interact with space.

Jake has worked with award-winning architecture and design firms including Knoll, Rapt Studio, BVN Architecture in Australia, WRNS Studio, and Gensler. In 2023, they also established an independent design practice focused on interior design and furniture design and making.

Based in Brooklyn, Jake works across architecture, interiors, and furniture, bringing a design perspective that connects larger project visions with the details, materials, and experiences that make a space feel considered and complete.
